The health and safety of players, coaches, volunteers and spectators is a priority at all GHA activities.

Minimum Expectations

  • A suitably stocked first aid kit at all training and matches
  • At least one responsible adult knows its location
  • Emergency contact information readily available
  • Significant incidents communicated promptly to parents
  • Coaches understand Club injury & emergency procedures

First Aid Qualifications: each age group should have access to at least one coach or volunteer with an appropriate First Aid qualification. As a minimum, complete the free Scottish Rugby SCRUMCAPS First Aid — Module 1 (e-learning) via your SCRUMS account — around 45–60 minutes.
