School Rugby

Players focusing on school rugby remain valued members of the GHA community.

Some players may choose to focus on school rugby during years where player welfare regulations restrict dual participation. These players remain valued members of the GHA community.

They should

  • Be welcomed at training
  • Remain connected to the Club where practical
  • Be welcomed back at any stage

Coaches should

  • Position GHA positively
  • Promote the benefits of staying connected
  • Never criticise alternative rugby pathways
The long-term objective: players who enter GHA rugby ultimately return to GHA at U18, senior or social level. See Appendix A.
